Milk and casein proteins are so-called complete proteins, because they provide the body with all necessary amino acids, including the 9 essential ones. They are called so because the body cannot synthesize them. They are also konw to be called “slow proteins” because unlike Whey protein, the body takes longer time to absorb. Casein contributes to the maintenance and growth of muscle mass and also to the maintenance of normal bones.
